Nicole Gordon

Hi, I’m Nicole, a London-based multidisciplinary artist working with immersive environments, light and spatial design.

My background in textiles informs how I approach light, material and space, often working with laser and projection to develop site-specific installations and performances.

Over the past decade, I have created lighting and laser works for festivals, cultural institutions and bespoke commissions. Recent highlights include projects for Glastonbury Festival, ICA London, and Monument Festival in Norway.

Alongside my solo practice, I’m the co-founder of perspectives• an audiovisual platform focused on combining immersive spatial design and live performance. The project supports women, emerging artists and underrepresented voices, and centres around site-specific custom lighting installations that engage the audience on a sensory level.

I’m a certified Laser Safety Officer (IEC 60825), with experience designing and operating laser systems for live and site-specific work.

  • Inspired by abstract and organic textures, I create visual content using a range of tools and processes, including TouchDesigner. With a passion for experimentation, I strive to push the boundaries of what's possible and create experiences that truly immerse and captivate audiences.

  • I have several years of experience operating visuals and lighting for club nights, festivals and custom audiovisual performances. Live performance is central to my practice. I’m drawn to the energy of the moment and love the challenge of bringing a unique experience to each performance.

  • I’ve led creative direction for audiovisual club nights, live performances, and full-scale festivals, overseeing projects from early concept through to delivery. I work collaboratively with clients and teams to shape cohesive experiences that feel intentional, immersive and memorable.

  • I have extensive experience creating site-specific installations that respond to the spatial and architectural qualities of the location. From temporary pop-ups to permanent works, each project is approached with a deep understanding of the environment and a commitment to creating something truly one-of-a-kind.

  • My background in textiles strongly informs my approach to immersive design and I love incorporating fabrics to create depth, softness and movement within my installations. I’m fascinated by theatre scenography and the possibilities it presents for immersive experiences.
